INTRODUCTION

The Education Sponsorship Division (BPP) plays an important role in the development of human capital which includes entrepreneurs who can generate wealth, creating a competent work force and excellent Bumiputera students. To achieve this target, BPP provides education loan facilities at various levels of studies to meet the employment sector. Main focus is given to the areas of studies, encompassing those with high income revenue and to concentrate on 12 National Key Economic Areas (NKEA), ie; Oil, Gas & Energy, Palm Oil, Financial Services, Tourism Electrical & Electronics, Wholesale and Retails, Healthcare, Communications & Infrastructure, Agriculture and Greater Kuala Lumpur.

The focus of BPP is to create more graduates with Ph.D qualifications and professionals moving towards a high income nation with first class mind in order to achieve talented human capital development based on the nation's needs.

To ensure the welfare of MARA sponsored students overseas, BPP has 8 MARA Offices in the United States of Amerika, England, Germany, Ireland, Australia, Indonesia, Egypt and Russia.

EDUCATION LOAN SCHEME (SPiP)

SPiP Special Programme

  • This programme is especially designed for students who achieved excellent SPM results in the previous year.
  • Among the Preparotary programmes offered are ADFP, A-Level, International Baccalaureate (IB), Australia Matriculation (AUSMAT), etc. Students are selected based on their academic excellence and psychometric test and interviews.
  • Students who meet minimum academic requirements can apply from the advertisement published in local newspapers.
  • The students are required to follow the Preparatory Programme conducted in the country and achieve excellent results before going abroad.

SPiP Open Loan

  • This loan is given especially to Bumiputera students who are eligible to further their studies at MARA Education Institutes (IPMa) and Private Education Institutes (IPTS) in the country.
  • Applications must be made on the online eEduloan system obtained from http://eduloan.mara.gov.my
  • Eligible students will be offered loans which include tuition fees, subsistence allowance, book allowance, equipment allowance, project paper allowance and thesis allowance.

Post Graduate Programme Locally and Abroad

  • Applications are open to graduates with a Bachelor Degree to further their studiens at Masters, professional and docorate levels either locally or abroad
  • The student must get an offer letter from the university / education institutes which are recognized by the government / MQA and prominent university abroad
  • Sponsorship or financing for studies by Coursework and by Research
