E-BAKI
I have decided to continue my studies further but I still receive a repayment schedule. Can I apply for a postponement?
Postponement of repayments will only be considered if the borrower continues his/her studies full-time.
If you meet the above criteria, you will need to submit an application that includes a confirmation letter from the university with the information below : –
i. Name of programme / course taken
ii. Date of study start
iii. Expected graduation date
The status of the postponement request can be checked and printed on the e-Baki system in MARA official portal.
When do I need to repay my MARA education loan?
The repayment of MARA education loan is scheduled from the 7th month after the student graduates.
Beginning 2017, Schedule every repayment will no longer be sent through mail but can be printed on the e-Baki system found on the MARA website.
How do I make payment for my loan?
a) Repayments are encouraged to be made through the online service provided by MARA called MARAeps. MARAeps is accessible to all users through the following platforms :
i. Website – https://paid.maraeps.my/
ii. Android app on Google Play Store – MARAeps
iii. IOS app at Apple Store – MARAeps
b) All payments can also be made at the nearest District / State MARA Office, Post Office, through employer pay deductions, EPF withdrawals or online banking system. For more information please refer to the attachment.
Can I pay my loan through the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) deduction?
Yes. Loaners who wish to repay their loan using the EPF II account should apply online at the EPF Website through e-Pengeluaran. Please note that the eligibility for the deduction is subject to the requirements set by EPF.
A brief guide to application through the EPF website:
Step 1:
Login to i-Account(Sign up as a member prior to login)
Step 2:
Check the status of your application via SMS or Security Message Inbox in i-Account.
Step 3:
Visit any EPF branch to do fingerprint identification (CIJ) and bring along supporting documents needed by the EPF.
I am migrating overseas. How can I do the repayment of my loan?
Loan repayments from overseas can be made as follows:

I have started working and I would like to pay the loan through salary deduction. What should I do?
Payment through salary deduction can be made by submitting 3 copies of the salary Deduction Form (Form LPP 20A and 20B / 20C) which can be downloaded and printed from MARA official portal.
I plan to make the repayment through bank instructions. What do I need to do?
a) You can register to use the Direct Debit facility through MARAeps. Payments will be deducted from your savings, current account or credit card account registered with a local bank.
b) You are required to deal with the bank yourself and submit a copy of the bank instruction to MARA. Please make sure every transaction slip states your name, identity card number and student account number.
I have graduated from my studies. Am I eligible to apply for a loan reduction?
Yes, you are eligible to apply for a loan reduction. Borrowers can apply through the e-Baki system via the url https://apps.mara.gov.my/ebakiv2
A RM300 commitment payment will be charged as the first payment on the borrower’s account which is in 12 digits beginning 3303XXXXXXXX.
Application status can also be checked through this system.
I have applied for MARA loan repayment reduction but I have not received any feedback.
Due to the large number of applications, the repayment reduction process takes at least 6 months from the date of application.
The duration of the approval process also depends on current situations and government directives such as the Movement Control Order (MCO).

Why am I no longer receiving the MARA Student Loan Annual Statement?
Beginning 2015, MARA no longer distributed the Annual Statement. The Statement can be printed on the e-Baki system found on the MARA website.
I received a blacklist warning letter from MARA. What do I need to do to remove my name from the blacklist?
The borrower is required to bring all arrears up to date and submit proof of payment to MARA Credit Control Division.
I have made a payment via Internet banking at bank counter but why I have not received a payment receipt?
Payment receipts will not be issued if payments are made through Internet banking or at the bank counters and the Post Office. Payment confirmation slip can be used as proof of payment.
I recently made a payment on my loan. How do I check if MARA has received the payment?
Balances and financial statements are reviewed online through the e-Baki system found on the MARA website or by contacting an officer at the MARA Credit Control Division after three (3) business days payments have been made.
I have made the payment but it is still not updated on the e-Baki system.
The e-Baki will take 3 working days to update the payment.
I have settled all the remaining balance of my loan. Will a loan settlement letter be issued?
The loan settlement letter can be printed on the e-Baki system which is available on the MARA website.
If I have changed the address. How can I notify MARA?
You can notify MARA Credit Control Division by email / letter / telephone and attach a copy of your identity card or utility bill with your current address.
I have applied for a loan from the bank but it was declined because of my MARA loan status. How do I check if I have ever made or been a guarantor of a MARA loan?
You can check your status online through the e-Baki system or by contacting an officer at MARA Credit Control Division.
