Kuala Lumpur, 12th January 2026 โ€” Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) today formalised a strategic collaboration with Ernst & Young PLT (EY) through the exchange of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), reinforcing MARAโ€™s commitment to strengthening academiaโ€“industry linkages and advancing the development of future-ready accounting professionals. The ceremony, held at EY Malaysia, marked a significant milestone in MARAโ€™s efforts to ensure its education ecosystem remains aligned with evolving industry demands, particularly in the areas of digitalisation and artificial intelligence.

The event was graced by Ir. Dr. Mahzan bin Teh, Deputy Director General of MARA, who delivered the keynote address on behalf of MARA, highlighting the organisationโ€™s strategic focus on producing globally competitive, ethically grounded and industry-ready Bumiputera talent. Also delivering an address was Ahmad Qadri bin Jahubar Sathik, Partner, Financial Services, EY Malaysia, who underscored the importance of sustained collaboration between industry and academia in strengthening professional standards and talent readiness within the accounting profession.

Through the MoU, MARA aims to further enhance graduate employability by strengthening curriculum relevance, expanding structured industry exposure and facilitating knowledge transfer between academia and industry practitioners. The collaboration reflects MARAโ€™s Institution, Industry and Internationalization (3i) strategy, positioning its institutions as credible hubs for professional talent development and reaffirming MARAโ€™s role as a key driver of national human capital growth.
