INTRODUCTION

The establishment of MRSM is in line with the nation’s aspirations to provide access to education in secondary schools in science and technology to students who have high academic and intellectual abilities to develop their potentials.

PROGRAMMES IN MRSM EDUCATION SYSTEM

There are five programs based on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) implemented at MRSM, as follows:

MRSM TALENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

MRSM Talent Development Programme is part of the MRSM curriculum, comprising co-curricular activities. Co-curricular activities are vital in developing students’ particular skills and attributes that exhibit their non-academic abilities.

MRSM Talent Student Development programme comprises three elements which are:

Through these co-curricular activities, students have the opportunity to develop their interests, potray good values and exhibit their skills while enhancing their all round personality to strongly face the challenges of the future.

HIGHER EDUCATION

KOLEJ PROFESIONAL MARA (KPM)

INTRODUCTION

Kolej Profesional MARA (KPM) offers diploma and semi-professional programmes. The KPM curriculum is developed by the experts in the relevant fields. It is continuously improved to ensure KPM students are equipped with the latest knowledge and are prepared with career readiness for the current national industrial needs.

Each KPM campus offers various facilities for the convenience and comfort of students. The facilities include lecture halls, classrooms, library, computer labs with internet access, language laboratories, dormitories, sports and leisure facilities, surau and a cafeteria.

INTRODUCTION

Kolej MARA (KM) offers numerous pre-university programmes in various disciplines such as medicine, dentistry, engineering, architecture and accountancy as a pathway for undergraduate and professional courses.

Loan facilities are available for registration payments to students who are offered studies in Diploma and First Degree at IPMa only.

PREPARATORY LEVEL

INTRODUCTION TO THE YOUNG TALENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (YTP)

Specifically for students who have achieved excellent results at the Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) level to enrol in the First Degree Preparatory Program locally and abroad. Priority will be given to excellent students from the B40 and M40 groups especially the urban and rural poor.
Preparatory Program: IB / A-Levels / Foundation / Pre-University / Non-Native English Speaking Countries University Preparatory Program.
Road to the Top 10 Universities by Country and Top 30 World Universities by Subjects upon completion of preparatory phase.

TERMS OF APPLICATION

Excellent at the Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) level within the current year
Priority for the B40 Group
Passed the MARA Student Assessment Program (MSAP)
Active and excellent involvement in co-curriculum activities
Aged 18 in the year of application

TERMS OF SPONSORSHIP

The applicant and one of the parents are a citizen and of Bumiputera status.
Parents/ Guardians as well as students are NOT blacklisted by MARA.
Applicants do not receive financial/ sponsorship assistance from any agency for the same degree (double sponsor).
The courses enrolled in are courses recognized by the Malaysian Government and the Professional Body of Malaysia.
Has never been terminated by any sponsor for disciplinary action that is unlawful and has no criminal record.
Free from chronic illnesses / infectious diseases / diseases that require follow-up treatment and are able to study until completion.

Priority areas are Computing, Health Science and Medicine, Engineering, Arts and Design, Social Science (C.H.E.Ar.S)
Students who have successfully completed their studies and meet the eligibility requirements set will then further studies at the first degree level locally or abroad

DIPLOMA AND DEGREE LEVELS

TERTIARI EDUCATION LOAN PROGRAM (TESP)

INTRODUCTION

Specifically for SPM, Certificate and Diploma-graduate students to further studies at Diploma or First Degree levels in the field and institution within the country set by MARA.

TERMS OF APPLICATION

General Terms

The applicant and one of the parents are a citizen and of Bumiputera status.
Parents/ Guardians as well as students are NOT blacklisted by MARA.
Applicants do not receive financial/ sponsorship assistance from any agency for the same education level (double sponsor).
The courses enrolled in are courses recognized by the Malaysian Government and the Professional Body of Malaysia.
Has never been terminated by any sponsor for disciplinary action that is unlawful and has no criminal record.
Free from chronic illnesses / infectious diseases / diseases that require follow-up treatment and are able to study until completion.
Obtain release / deferment of service contract or repayment of loan from other sponsor bodies (except MARA) for previous study (for those related).

EXCELLENT STUDENT PROGRAM (IPMa)

INTRODUCTION

Specifically for excellent students from MARA Institute of Education (IPMa) to further their diploma and first degree study both locally and abroad.
Students are selected based on excellent academic achievement and active involvement in curriculum while in IPMa at the certificate and diploma level by meeting the eligibility requirements set.

TERMS OF APPLICATION

The applicant and one of the parents are a citizen and of Bumiputera status.
Parents/ Guardians as well as students are NOT blacklisted by MARA.
Applicants do not receive financial/ sponsorship assistance from any agency for the same degree (double sponsor).
The courses enrolled in are courses recognized by the Malaysian Government and the Professional Body of Malaysia.
Has never been terminated by any sponsor for disciplinary action that is unlawful and has no criminal record.
Free from chronic illnesses / infectious diseases / diseases that require follow-up treatment and are able to study until completion.

POST GRADUATE AND PROFESSIONAL LEVELS

SKIM PELAJAR CEMERLANG – PASCASISWAZAH (SPC-PASCASis)

INTRODUCTION

MARA offers education loans in the form of convertible loans for Post Graduate levels (Master’s Degree and Doctor of Philosophy) at leading Institutions of Higher Education locally and abroad to outstanding graduates in fields that have a significant impact on national employment needs.
Specifically for post-Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree students to further their studies in Master’s and Doctoral degrees in fields and universities set by MARA.

TERMS OF APPLICATION

The applicant is Malay / Bumiputera and Malaysian citizen.
Either the mother OR father is Malay/ Bumiputera and is a Malaysian citizen.
Applicant age limit requirements :

Graduated at the First Degree / Master’s Degree level with outstanding academic achievement.
Study in the current year.
Applicant / Mother / Father / Guardian are not included in MARA’s blacklist or legal action.
Applicants do not receive financial/ sponsorship assistance from any agency for the same degree (double sponsor).
The courses enrolled in are courses recognized by the Malaysian Government and the Professional Body of Malaysia.
Has never been terminated by any sponsor for disciplinary action that is unlawful and has no criminal record.
Free from chronic illnesses / infectious diseases / diseases that require follow-up treatment and are able to study until completion.
Obtain release / deferment of service contract or repayment of loan from other sponsor bodies (except MARA) for previous study (for those applicable).
Students must have completed their First Degree / Master’s Degree at the time of application.
This application is open for full-time coursework or research or mix mode.
MARA employees and MARA subsidiaries are not eligible to apply for this loan.

INTRODUCTION

Education loans to Professional levels at Institutions of Higher Education locally and abroad to outstanding graduates in various fields that have a significant impact on national employment needs.

Study in the current year.
The courses enrolled in are courses recognized by the Malaysian Government and the Professional Body of Malaysia.
