PREPARATORY LEVEL

Introduction to the Young Talent Development Program (YTP)

  • Specifically for students who have achieved excellent results at the Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) level to enrol in the First Degree Preparatory Program locally and abroad. Priority will be given to excellent students from the B40 and M40 groups especially the urban and rural poor.
  • Preparatory Program: IB / A-Levels / Foundation / Pre-University / Non-Native English Speaking Countries University Preparatory Program.
  • Road to the Top 10 Universities by Country and Top 30 World Universities by Subjects upon completion of preparatory phase.

Terms of Application

  • Excellent at the Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) level within the current year
  • Priority for the B40 Group
  • Passed the MARA Student Assessment Program (MSAP)
  • Active and excellent involvement in co-curriculum activities
  • Aged 18 in the year of application

Terms of Sponsorship

  • The applicant and one of the parents are a citizen and of Bumiputera status.
  • Parents/ Guardians as well as students are NOT blacklisted by MARA.
  • Applicants do not receive financial/ sponsorship assistance from any agency for the same degree (double sponsor).
  • The courses enrolled in are courses recognized by the Malaysian Government and the Professional Body of Malaysia.
  • Has never been terminated by any sponsor for disciplinary action that is unlawful and has no criminal record.
  • Free from chronic illnesses / infectious diseases / diseases that require follow-up treatment and are able to study until completion.
  • Subject to the current policies and conditions in force.

Others

  • Priority areas are Computing, Health Science and Medicine, Engineering, Arts and Design, Social Science (C.H.E.Ar.S)
  • Students who have successfully completed their studies and meet the eligibility requirements set will then further studies at the first degree level locally or abroad
