KRAFTERA
Background
Kraftera is a programme established in 2018 through a strategic partnership between MARA and JAKOA that markets handicrafts made of screwpine leaves by indigenous people in Bera, Pahang. The scope of the programme was later expanded to other products gathered from all over the country such as woven art, batik, pottery, ceramic and wood-based products.
Objectives
- To help increase the income of rural handicraft entrepreneurs and encourage social entrepreneurship
Target Groups
- Rural community which consists of indigenoues people, women, single mothers and youths.
Outcome
- Creation and development of handicraft entrepreneurs
- Income generation for target group (indigenous people and rural community)
