Organization
MARA is a statutory body under the supervision of the Ministry of Regional and Rural Development (KKDW) and entrusted with MARA Council Members, appointed by the Minister of KKDW. The MARA Council Members is comprised of the Chairman, Deputy Chairman, Head of Secretary, and eight members of whom two of them are of civil servants.
The Director General of MARA is responsible to carry out its executive’s authority provisioned by the MARA Act 1966. Three Deputy Director Generals are also appointed with the assistance of directors and heads of units to lead MARA’s three core sector developments which are Entrepreneurships, Education, and Investment at the head office level. MARA is also facilitated by 14 MARA State Offices (PMN) and MARA Districts Offices (PMD) for each state meanwhile, five foreign MARA Offices are allocated in London, United Kingdom (UK), Washington D.C, United States of America (USA), Frankfurt, Germany, Sydney, Australia and Alexandria, Egypt.
MARA organizational statutes are also strengthened by 16 subsidiaries which are responsible in spearheading MARA’s three core sectors.
